Family Immigration
If you have a family member that you want to bring to America, I can help you through the process. I will help you prepare a K-1, K-2 or K-3 visa application and will advise you regarding foreign adoptions.
If you have a family member who is not an American citizen and you would like to bring him or her to the United States, you want an immigration lawyer to help you work through the complex and challenging rules governing the right to live in the United States. You need someone to help you understand the difference between a K1 visa, a K2 visa and a K3 visa.
At the Law Office of Bill Travis Klein, I handle all matters involving family immigration, including efforts to bring parents, children, spouses, fiances and siblings to America.
If you live in the United States and would like to bring a family member to America, there are many options under the immigration laws to reunite and keep your family together.
If you are an immediate relative, of a US citizen, you qualify for immigration into the United States. This option is limited to spouses of U.S. citizens, parents of U.S. citizens and unmarried children of U.S. citizens who are under 21 years of age. We can help you get a spouse visa, or a fiancé visa if you are engaged to an American citizen.
If you are the unmarried adult son or daughter of an American citizen, you fall into the top preference category. Your ability to obtain a children's visa will be subject to a yearly quota.
If you have a green card, you can sponsor a spouse or unmarried children of any age.
If you are the married child of a U.S. citizen, you may still seek residence in America, but your preference is below that of an unmarried child.
If you are the brother or sister of an American citizen, all other applications will be considered before yours.
As your family immigration lawyer, I will work closely with you throughout the entire process, to make certain that you always understand the status of your case, your options moving forward, and your likelihood of success. I will help you prepare for your immigration interview, so that you know what types of questions to expect and how to answer them.
